4c HollowOne dumps its hand fast with Burning Inquiry and Faithless Looting to cheat out Hollow One, Vengevine, and Detective's Phoenix, so graveyard disruption and efficient removal for their recurring threats matter. Surgical Extraction can strip a Vengevine or Hollow One from graveyard, hand, and library once you see a copy, cutting off their recursive value engine. Erode cheaply answers an early Hollow One or Vengevine, and High Noon prevents them from casting more than one spell each turn to shut down their explosive turns and Vengevine triggers. Stubborn Denial and Consign to Memory are weak since many of their key plays are colored creature spells rather than noncreature threats, which Stubborn Denial misses and Consign to Memory cannot counter (though Consign can counter colorless spells like Hollow One).
