Brotherhood's End destroys Blade of the Bloodchief, Vexing Bauble, Haywire Mite, and Soul-Guide Lantern (all mana value 3 or less) in one sweep, directly removing the equipment half of their Basking Broodscale combo and any one-mana artifact answers they hold up. Wear // Tear can snipe a lone Blade of the Bloodchief or other artifact for just {1}{R} if it slips past the sweeper. Stubborn Denial and Spell Pierce can only hit noncreature spells, so they never touch Basking Broodscale or their other creatures, and they do trade with Blade of the Bloodchief and spells like Ancient Stirrings, Malevolent Rumble, and Kozilek's Command. They are cut because the opponent's Spawn tokens and colorless lands make a {1} or {2} tax easy to pay, so the slots are better spent on Brotherhood's End and Wear // Tear. Prioritize killing Blade of the Bloodchief on sight, since without it the Spawn-sacrifice loop stops putting counters on the equipped creature.
