Stern Scolding is excellent against Dragon's Rage Channeler and Monastery Swiftspear, both power or toughness 2 or less, letting you counter their key one-drops before they can grow. Consign to Memory handles Mishra's Bauble triggers and other colorless spells cheaply, and its replicate mode scales well against their low-to-the-ground, spell-dense plan. Quantum Riddler and Scion of Draco are too slow and clunky against a deck trying to race with Cori-Steel Cutter and burn, so trim them in favor of interaction. Keep Lightning Bolt and Leyline Binding as premium removal for their threats, and prioritize racing or stabilizing early since Izzet Prowess wants to go under your sweepers.
