Ruby Storm wants to chain cheap rituals and cantrips into a storm kill, so racing is key. Stern Scolding doesn't hit their key spells directly, but it can counter a Ral, Monsoon Mage (power 1) as it's cast, before it can start discounting their instants and sorceries or flip. Brotherhood's End is mostly a sideboard-in as a backup sweeper against any creature-based backup plan, though its main value is the artifact mode, which destroys artifacts with mana value 3 or less and so hits their Ruby Medallion and slows their mana discount engine. Artist's Talent is an enchantment, so that mode can't touch it. Quantum Riddler is far too slow against a deck that can kill out of nowhere and gets cut entirely, along with Stubborn Denial since it only taxes one mana and won't stop a storm turn once they have ritual mana online.
