Galvanic Blast deals 4 damage with Metalcraft active, cleanly killing Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer, Guide of Souls, Voice of Victory, and most of their creature suite at instant speed. Whipflare sweeps their nonartifact board, wiping tokens from Ocelot Pride, Dalkovan Encampment Warriors, and Voice of Victory's Mobilize tokens while leaving our own artifact creatures untouched. Salvage Titan is clunky against their efficient low-curve aggro plan and Claws of Gix doesn't impact the race enough, so both are trimmed for cheap, proactive removal that keeps pace with their board development.
