Cursed Totem is the single best card against this combo: it turns off Basking Broodscale's adapt activation, which is the entire engine that creates Eldrazi Spawn tokens and triggers Blade of the Bloodchief, stopping the loop before it starts. Damping Sphere adds a secondary brake by taxing their spells once they've already cast something that turn, slowing their ability to chain Ancient Stirrings/Malevolent Rumble into the combo pieces in one turn. Tormod's Crypt stays in since it can exile their graveyard before Shifting Woodland or Emperor-style recursion matters, though here it's mostly incidental. Claws of Gix and a Shivan Reef come out as the lowest-impact cards against a combo deck that doesn't care about our life total or red mana much.
