Pithing Needle is excellent naming Devoted Druid to shut off its untap ability, cutting off their primary mana engine into Craterhoof Behemoth or Agatha's Soul Cauldron combo lines. Solitude answers a key creature like Devoted Druid or Fiend Artisan before it goes off. Stubborn Denial can counter their noncreature combo pieces like Nature's Rhythm for just {U} when they tap out early, or hard-counter them if we control a creature with four or more power. We shave slow setup and equipment support (Forge Anew, Meticulous Archive, Paradise Mantle, Lavaspur Boots) since this matchup is decided by disrupting their combo before it assembles.
