Eldrazi Tron is slower and more controlling. Karn, the Great Creator shuts off activated abilities of artifacts we control, which hits Mox Opal and the equip abilities of our Equipment, and Ugin, Eye of the Storms exiles our colored permanents. Pithing Needle can name Karn, the Great Creator to stop its +1 and −2 loyalty abilities, since loyalty abilities are activated abilities and are not mana abilities. Karn's static lock on our artifacts would still apply, so Needle is often better saved for Giant's Boulder's {7} destroy ability or Expedition Map's search ability if they rely on it. Kaldra Compleat is indestructible and hasty, which gives us a fast clock, but it is not safe. Its Germ is a 0/0 that only survives thanks to the +5/+5 bonus, so Dismember's -5/-5 kills it regardless of indestructible. Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger's cast trigger and Kozilek's Command can exile it. Keep the core equipment plan intact since this matchup is a race to assemble a lethal threat before they lock us out with Karn and Trinisphere.
