Neobrand wants to chain Summoner's Pact and Neoform into a fast Griselbrand or Ureni, the Song Unending, protected by instant-speed Pact of Negation, so Teferi, Time Raveler shutting off their instant-speed responses on your turn is exceptionally strong and can also bounce a resolved threat like Griselbrand with its -3. Stubborn Denial gives you a cheap way to counter a key noncreature spell like Eldritch Evolution or Summoner's Pact when you have a big enough creature online. Ornithopter and Paradise Mantle are too passive to matter in a matchup decided by disruption and speed, so they come out. Keep applying pressure with Colossus Hammer to race their combo before they can establish their board.
