Blood Moon turns off their nonbasic lands, which matters less for mana fixing since many of their creatures produce mana directly, but it still strands Overgrown Tomb, Godless Shrine, and other duals, slowing deployment. Surgical Extraction can exile a key copy of Devoted Druid or Walking Ballista from their graveyard interaction, denying later escape/recursion lines and thinning their combo redundancy. Spell Pierce and one Spell Snare are cut since their combo often sidesteps tax effects by using free mana from Devoted Druid and Leyline of Abundance, making these counters less reliable. Keep Counterspell, Force of Negation, and Subtlety as your primary answers to Devoted Druid or Walking Ballista before the combo goes off, since this matchup is a race to disrupt the engine before it loops.
