Esper GenericBlink is a value-grindy deck with Solitude, Flickerwisp, and Phelia generating repeated ETB value, and relatively few creatures die to burn in a way that matters since many blink effects just reset them. Stern Scolding is premium here, countering Flickerwisp, Phelia, Exuberant Shepherd, and Emperor of Bones (all power or toughness 2 or less) before they can generate their enters-the-battlefield value. Consign to Memory's Replicate mode is useful against their many triggered abilities from Solitude, Overlord of the Balemurk, and Witch Enchanter. Lightning Bolt gets cut since 3 damage often doesn't efficiently answer their biggest threats (Overlord of the Balemurk is 5/5, Solitude dodges via flash blocks), and our counterspells are better positioned to stop their value engine before it starts.
