Jeskai Energy is a wide, low-to-the-ground creature deck similar to Boros Energy, built around Ocelot Pride, Guide of Souls, and Ajani tokens, so efficient removal matters more than countermagic. Meltdown at a low X can be a 1-for-1 blowout against any artifact tokens they generate incidentally, though its main value here is marginal; Hurkyl's Recall has no real artifact targets either, so this plan is mostly about trimming dead counterspells. Spell Snare whiffs on most of their key cards which sit outside mana value 2, and Spell Pierce is easily paid through once they have mana up. Keep Lightning Bolt, Unholy Heat, and Subtlety as your core interaction against their aggressive low-curve threats and Solitude.
