Jeskai Energy plays a grindy midrange game with Phelia, Exuberant Shepherd, small creatures, and its own Consign to Memory/Wrath of the Skies, so cheap efficient interaction matters more than card-disadvantage counters. Fire Magic's Fira mode for {2}{R} kills Phelia (2/2) and other small bodies (Casey Jones is 4/3 and needs Firaga), while Stern Scolding cleanly answers Phelia and any 2-or-less power/toughness creature they flash in. They run no colorless spells, so Consign to Memory only hits triggered abilities — trim your Consign to Memory. Spell Pierce is weak since they run plenty of mana; hold Counterspell for Teferi, Time Raveler and Solitude, and save Spell Snare for Phelia, Exuberant Shepherd.
