Spell Pierce is premium disruption against their one- and two-mana rituals (Desperate Ritual, Pyretic Ritual, Manamorphose) and cantrips, forcing them to pay extra mana they don't have during their combo turn. Consign to Memory's replicate ability lets us counter multiple triggered abilities or colorless spells in a single turn, which is relevant against any colorless pieces and can snipe key triggers. Mutagenic Growth and Violent Urge do nothing to stop a combo deck that isn't interacting with our board, so they're cut for interaction. Race aggressively and hold up mana for countermagic on their key turn, since Ruby Storm wins out of nowhere once they assemble enough mana acceleration.
