Grixis Reanimator discards Archon of Cruelty via Faithless Looting or mills it with Thought Scour, then brings it back with Unearth or Persist for a huge tempo swing, backed by Thoughtseize disruption. Surgical Extraction is premium here: naming Unearth or Persist after they resolve one copy strips the rest, and it can also exile the Archon of Cruelty itself out of the graveyard to shut off their reanimation targets entirely. High Noon slows down their explosive turns where they want to Thoughtseize and reanimate or loot in the same turn. Day's Undoing and Isochron Scepter are cut since neither answers their graveyard plan or a resolved Archon of Cruelty quickly enough.
