Neobrand is a fast combo deck relying on Eldritch Evolution, Neoform, and Summoner's Pact chains to sacrifice Allosaurus Rider to find a big payoff, so Thoughtseize is critical to strip a key combo piece or protection spell like Veil of Summer/Pact of Negation before they go off. Vexing Bauble counters Allosaurus Rider when cast without paying mana, as well as zero-mana spells like Summoner's Pact and Pact of Negation. Thraben Charm and Chthonian Nightmare are both too slow and reactive against a deck that can win before combat even matters, so they're cut for proactive disruption. Be ready to race quickly if they stumble, since Neobrand has little defense against fast aggression.
