Boros Energy goes wide fast with Ocelot Pride tokens, Guide of Souls, and Ajani's Cat Warrior tokens, making The Meathook Massacre's -X/-X sweep excellent at resetting their board while gaining you life per death. Sheoldred's Edict forces a sacrifice that gets around Boromir's indestructible ability, and the extra Inquisition of Kozilek helps strip Ajani, Nacatl Pariah or Fable of the Mirror-Breaker before they take over. Force of Despair is weaker here since Boros doesn't dump its whole hand into the battlefield in one turn the way combo decks do, and Soul Spike's high cost is clunky against their low curve. Keep Fatal Push and Fell the Profane in to answer Ragavan, and Ajani before he transforms off Cat triggers.
