This Esper blink deck leans heavily on fetchlands and recurring value creatures like Phelia, Exuberant Shepherd and Flickerwisp, so Ashiok, Dream Render shuts off their fetching entirely and its -1 ability strips graveyards, hampering their Witch Enchanter and Overlord of the Balemurk value engines. Pithing Needle is flexible against Kaito, Bane of Nightmares's loyalty abilities or other repeatable threats they bring in. Surgical Extraction can proactively remove a copy of Stitcher's Supplier-style or Quantum Riddler engine piece once it's in the graveyard. Since they also play Orcish Bowmasters and discard-heavy disruption, your own Orcish Bowmasters is less impactful since they don't draw many extra cards beyond their own triggers, and Ifnir Deadlands is too slow; keep Thoughtseize and Fatal Push since they're premium against their efficient threats like Phelia and the Solitude/removal suite.
