Dimir Midrange is soaked in blue and black interaction (Counterspell, Thoughtseize, Fatal Push, Force of Negation), making Veil of Summer premium protection that grants hexproof from both colors and cantrips off their disruption. Mystical Dispute counters their Counterspell, Psychic Frog, or Subtlety for as little as U, while Consign to Memory whiffs on their colored spells and gets cut. Generous Ent is too slow against a deck holding up interaction every turn, so it comes out for cheaper, more relevant answers that let your combo turns actually resolve.
