Grixis Reanimator discards Archon of Cruelty via Faithless Looting or Thought Scour and brings it back with Unearth or Persist; Surgical Extraction on the discarded Archon (or on Unearth once they've used it) strips their reanimation targets or the spell that enables them from the whole game. Damping Sphere slows down a turn where they want to loot, discard, and reanimate all in one go by taxing each additional spell. Chandra's Incinerator is risky here since Fatal Push and Archon's own sacrifice trigger can take it off the board before it profits, so it comes out for more proactive disruption.
