Izzet Prowess is a mirror-style burn race full of 1-toughness and 2-toughness threats (Dragon's Rage Channeler, Monastery Swiftspear, Slickshot Show-Off), so Searing Blaze is efficient two-for-one removal that also hits their face. Smash to Smithereens picks off Mishra's Bauble or Cori-Steel Cutter while dealing 3 extra damage in a race where every point matters. Eidolon of the Great Revel is far too risky in a mirror full of cheap spells that would burn you back constantly, so it sits out along with the painful Barbarian Rings. This matchup comes down to who runs out of gas or life total first, so prioritize damage efficiency over card advantage.
