Affinity is an artifact-dense deck (Mox Opal, Urza's Saga, Weapons Manufacturing, Kappa Cannoneer), making Force of Vigor's ability to destroy up to two artifacts and/or enchantments a huge tempo and card advantage swing, especially against Urza's Saga or a key Mox Opal. Masked Vandal provides another artifact answer on entry while blocking their small creatures. Vexing Bauble counters spells cast if no mana was spent to cast them, so it is most relevant against their Mox Opal, Welding Jar, and other zero-cost artifacts. We trim our weakest, most artifact-agnostic slots (Explosive Prodigy, Sylvan Safekeeper, one Young Wolf, one Dryad Arbor for a nonland) since our own graveyard/sacrifice plan is largely unaffected by their removal-light, artifact-focused gameplan.
