Izzet Prowess is a fast clock built on cheap creatures like Dragon's Rage Channeler, Monastery Swiftspear, and Slickshot Show-Off, so we need efficient removal rather than more card selection. Unholy Heat kills any of their one- or two-toughness threats for a single mana, and Fire Magic's Fira mode for {2}{R} sweeps their whole token/prowess board at instant speed. Hurkyl's Recall is mostly a backup artifact bounce but can reset our own Mox Amber/Mox Opal if they try to Meltdown us, though its main job here is just an efficient cheap spell; prioritize the removal. We cut slower, non-interactive pieces since this matchup is about surviving to turn 4-5 rather than grinding.
