Eldrazi Tron is a mostly colorless big-mana deck leaning on Urza's Mine/Power Plant/Tower, Karn, the Great Creator, and Devourer of Destiny, so disrupting their mana and engine matters more than single-creature removal. Culling Ritual wipes early mana rocks and small permanents like Expedition Map and Talisman of Curiosity while ramping us toward our own threats. Force of Despair is mostly dead here since their biggest threats are planeswalkers like Karn and Ugin, which it can't touch, and Devourer of Destiny and Emrakul exile or take over before an end-of-turn answer matters, so it comes out. Surgical Extraction is reactive: it needs a target card already in a graveyard, such as a sacrificed Expedition Map, and then exiles the other copies from their graveyard, hand, and library. Thoughtseize remains one of our best tools for stripping their key plays before they come online.
