Esper GenericBlink is a grindy value deck full of flicker synergies (Ephemerate, Flickerwisp, Phelia) and fetch lands, so Inquisition of Kozilek can strip a key blink piece like Ephemerate, Phelia, or Flickerwisp (all mana value 3 or less) before it generates value. It can't take Solitude, so don't expect it to answer that card. Surgical Extraction needs a card already in a graveyard, so it is a reactive tool: it can exile a creature or planeswalker card from their graveyard, along with other copies in their hand and library, to blunt Overlord of the Balemurk's recursion. Ashiok, Dream Render shuts off their fetchland searches and exiles their graveyard, which is strong against a deck that relies on fetches and graveyard value such as Overlord of the Balemurk and Emperor of Bones. Witherbloom Charm is weaker here since it only destroys nonland permanents with mana value 2 or less and so misses Solitude and Flickerwisp, and Fell the Profane can be blanked by flicker effects in response. Sheoldred's Edict is a worse rate than proactive discard against their grindy gameplan.
