Affinity presents a two-pronged challenge: a fast aggressive clock from Kappa Cannoneer and Pinnacle Emissary, and four maindeck Tormod's Crypts that directly disrupt Goryo's Vengeance before it can resolve. Use Prismatic Ending proactively to exile Tormod's Crypt and Mox Opal before attempting reanimation, and deploy Consign to Memory to counter their graveyard hate activations and protect your combo from the additional copies of Consign to Memory they bring in post-board. Wrath of the Skies handles their wide boards of Urza's Saga constructs and Weapons Manufacturing tokens, while Fatal Push provides efficient spot removal for key threats that slip through. Thoughtseize comes out because paying life against an aggressive deck is costly and their low-to-the-ground artifact package limits its targets, and Force of Negation is trimmed in favor of Consign to Memory, which provides more relevant interaction including against activated abilities.
