Ruby Storm aims to resolve Ral, Monsoon Mage and chain rituals through Manamorphose and Reckless Impulse into a lethal Grapeshot, often as early as turn 3, so your primary plan is a fast Goryo's Vengeance into Atraxa or Griselbrand backed by hand disruption from Thoughtseize and free counterspells from Force of Negation. Fatal Push and Solitude both answer Ral efficiently while he is still a creature on entry, and Consign to Memory is your most important reactive piece — hold it for Past in Flames or the storm turn itself. Teferi, Time Raveler comes in to bounce Ruby Medallion and set their mana back, buying the turns your combo needs to assemble, while also blanking instant-speed interaction they bring in post-board like Orim's Chant. Ashiok, Dream Render permanently exiles their graveyard on a loop, neutralizing Past in Flames entirely, and Surgical Extraction can follow a countered or discarded Past in Flames to remove all copies. Ephemerate and a chunk of Faithful Mending come out because pure value and graveyard-filling are too slow in a race where a single uncontested Ral activation can end the game.
