Affinity assembles cheap artifacts into threats like Kappa Cannoneer and Pinnacle Emissary. Wear // Tear's artifact half cleanly answers their Mox Opal, an Urza's Saga Construct token, or Pinnacle Emissary, but it is a poor answer to Kappa Cannoneer because of its Ward {4}. Vexing Bauble is not a blocker. It earns its slot by countering their zero-cost spells, such as Mox Opal, Mishra's Bauble, Tormod's Crypt, Welding Jar and Claws of Gix, whenever no mana is spent on them. Their bigger spells are mana-paid and slip past it, so it doubles as a late card-draw outlet. Stubborn Denial is awkward because I rarely control a 4-power creature early enough to turn on Ferocious, which leaves it as a weak soft counter against their cheap spells. Trimming just one Consign to Memory keeps a copy live for colorless spells and triggered abilities while freeing a slot, so the plan stays lean without over-committing.
