Boros Energy floods the board with cheap value creatures (Ocelot Pride, Guide of Souls, Ajani, Nacatl Pariah) and High Noon slows their ability to chain multiple spells per turn to fuel their energy and token engine. Wrath of the Skies scales to blow out their token swarm of Cats and Warriors once they've overextended, destroying everything up to the energy amount paid, lining up well against their mostly low-toughness board. Stubborn Denial is unreliable since Boros plays few high-impact noncreature spells worth countering early, and Consign to Memory has few free-cast or colorless targets in this matchup, so both make way for sweeper-based answers to their go-wide plan.
