This Gruul combo deck's entire plan hinges on Blade of the Bloodchief, so Force of Vigor can destroy it (plus a second artifact like Vexing Bauble or Soul-Guide Lantern) at instant speed, ideally in response to them starting the Basking Broodscale loop, and can be cast for free by exiling a green card to catch them off guard. Masked Vandal gives a second artifact answer by exiling a creature from your graveyard to hit Blade or Urza's Saga before it assembles the combo. Vexing Bauble only counters spells cast with no mana spent, which is uncommon for this deck, but still functions as a cheap cantrip late; prioritize Haywire Mite and Boseiju, Who Endures already in your mainboard as additional artifact/land answers against Urza's Saga.
