Mono Red Rally is a fast combo-aggro deck that goes wide with tokens and artifact creatures then swings for lethal off Rally at the Hornburg, so we need to stabilize and race rather than grind. Thraben Charm can deal damage equal to twice our creature count to kill a key blocker or a small threat like Goblin Bushwhacker or a Rally token, and its instant speed lets us use it reactively. Flaring Pain protects our life total math indirectly by letting us commit to racing plans without fear of their own damage prevention tricks (they have none, but it still lets us push through combat damage reliably when stacked with Armadillo Cloak's lifegain). Trim the slower Silhana Ledgewalker and Cartouche of Solidarity since this matchup rewards explosive starts and interaction over grindy value, and we need to close the game before their alpha strike turn.
