Grixis Control is removal and counterspell-dense (Counterspell, Snuff Out, Cut Down, Spell Pierce) backed by card draw like Preordain and Lorien Revealed, so a cheap flash flying counterspell in Spellstutter Sprite lets you fight through their disruption and protect your own threats or counter their removal. Writhing Chrysalis is cut since its high mana cost makes it an easy target for their removal suite and it doesn't generate enough value to be worth tapping out for. Keep Thraben Charm to answer Baleful Strix or Murmuring Mystic tokens, and keep Prismatic Strands since it can blank an entire alpha strike if they ever go aggressive with Thorn of the Black Rose's monarch plan. Sacred Cat and Outlaw Medic's resilience (dying and redrawing or lifelink) helps grind through their removal-heavy gameplan.
