Familiars is a combo-control deck that generates infinite mana and card draw by bouncing Sunscape Familiar with Snap and Ghostly Flicker loops through Archaeomancer, winning with Mulldrifter beats or God-Pharaoh's Faithful life gain. Your removal-heavy configuration is largely dead here since their key pieces are enchantments, artifacts, and bounce loops rather than must-kill creatures — trim Suffocating Fumes, Unexpected Fangs, Cast Down, and one Snuff Out as they are poor against a deck with minimal must-answer creatures. Bring in Annul to counter Ghostly Flicker and Meeting of Minds, which are critical pieces of the engine, and Extract a Confession to make them discard key combo pieces before they assemble. Your Tolarian Terror and Gurmag Angler are excellent here as fast clocks that pressure them before the loop comes online, and Counterspell plus Spell Pierce are your best tools to disrupt the Flicker-Archaeomancer loop.
