Rakdos Madness Burn functions similarly to Mono-Red Madness but adds black for Alms of the Vein and Vampire's Kiss, giving them additional lifedrain burn and discard outlets. Hydroblast is essential here — it counters their red burn spells and kills their creatures at one mana, swinging the damage race dramatically in your favor. Alms of the Vein is the scariest card in the matchup since it provides six life swings when cast for its madness cost, so track their discard outlets carefully and consider holding Counterspell for it. Extract a Confession strips a key burn spell or Kitchen Imp from their hand. Unexpected Fangs is too slow when you're taking six or more damage per turn from their madness chain, and Spell Pierce can be paid through easily by a deck that generates mana efficiency through madness costs.
