Dimir Control has no red cards, so Pyroblast is dead, and its only artifacts are artifact creatures (Baleful Strix, Mukotai Ambusher), making Steel Sabotage-style hate too narrow to bring. Breath Weapon is a minor upgrade that can clip their small creatures like Baleful Strix, Spellstutter Sprite, Faerie Seer, and Ninja of the Deep Hours for 2 damage while leaving Thorn of the Black Rose alive. Ethereal Haze does nothing against their non-combat-focused removal and grindy card advantage plan, so it comes out. This is largely a mirror of card quality and counterspell wars — keep Counterspell, Dispel, and Archaeomancer at full count to win attrition.
