Spy Combo uses Balustrade Spy and Dread Return (including its flashback via sacrificing three creatures) to build toward a graveyard-based combo kill, so graveyard hate is premium here. Faerie Macabre can discard itself to exile key graveyard cards and disrupt their Dread Return flashback plan or Troll of Khazad-dum recursion. Mesmeric Fiend strips their key combo piece or enabler straight from their hand before it resolves. Accursed Marauder is less useful since they have plentiful expendable mana dorks and Walls to sacrifice, and Sadistic Glee is too slow against a deck that can go off suddenly, so both are cut for proactive disruption.
