Golgari Gardens uses Ichor Wellspring, Fanatical Offering, and Eviscerator's Insight to sacrifice artifacts for card advantage, and Relic of Progenitus disrupts this value engine while also hedging against their Nihil Spellbomb. Smash to Smithereens can snipe a key Ichor Wellspring or Nihil Spellbomb before it delivers additional value, dealing 3 to their face in the process. Cut the slower card-draw spells since we want to be proactive against their removal-heavy suite of Cast Down, Snuff Out, and Defile. Preserve the full core engine, racing before Troll of Khazad-dum or Crypt Rats can stabilize the board.
