Mono Red Madness wins by chaining cheap spells into Fiery Temper, Guttersnipe, and Kessig Flamebreather damage, so we need to survive the early turns and keep removing their small bodies. Holy Light gives -1/-1 to all nonwhite creatures until end of turn, which kills Voldaren Epicure and Sneaky Snacker outright. It also shrinks Kessig Flamebreather to 0/2 and Guttersnipe to 1/1, which sets them up for combat or other removal. Our white creatures are unaffected, but our colorless artifact creatures (Ornithopter, Phyrexian Walker, Halo Hopper) are shrunk too, so time it with that in mind. The extra Thraben Charm scales with our wide board to snipe their small creatures cheaply. Pyroblast and Red Elemental Blast stay in their sideboard, not ours, and would be dead against us since we play no blue cards. We don't prioritize graveyard hate: madness cards go to exile first, though flashback spells and Sneaky Snacker do use the graveyard, so a Thraben Charm can cover that in a pinch. We trim the Javelineers and both Halo Hoppers. The Hoppers are colorless and get shrunk by our own Holy Light, and the Javelineers are 1/1s that trade poorly with their cheap burn. This is a matchup we want to win on tempo and removal rather than raw stats.
