This is a mirror-ish aggro-aggro matchup where both decks curve out with small white creatures, so Thraben Charm's damage mode (twice the number of creatures we control) is excellent at killing their early drops like Thraben Inspector, Novice Inspector, or Raffine's Informant before they snowball. Rite of Consumption can only hit a player or planeswalker, so it does nothing about their board, and Recommission is slow in a matchup decided by tempo and efficient trades on the early turns. We cut both Rite of Consumption and one Recommission for cheap, instant-speed removal. Focus on winning the early creature exchanges and use our superior card quality (Raffine's Informant, Lunarch Veteran) to pull ahead.
