Red Elemental Blast is premium against Grixis Control's blue backbone, countering Counterspell or destroying resolved blue threats like Baleful Strix and Murmuring Mystic. Nihil Spellbomb disrupts their Snuff Out and graveyard synergies while giving us a cheap artifact to deploy under pressure and cash in for a card later. We cut slower card-draw sorceries since they clash with countermagic and this matchup rewards efficient, protected threats and burn. Keep the full discard/madness engine online, since Grixis Control has limited ways to interact with our hand once spells are cast.
