Dimir Terror is a tempo deck similar to Mono-Blue Terror but with Snuff Out and Gurmag Angler giving it additional reach and resilience — Tolarian Terror, Cryptic Serpent, and Gurmag Angler all dodge Lightning Bolt, so that card is largely dead weight here. Red Elemental Blast counters their blue permission suite (Counterspell, Spell Pierce) and their threats (Tolarian Terror, Sneaky Snacker), often generating significant tempo advantage at instant speed for just one mana. Skred is your primary removal spell and handles Gurmag Angler and Tolarian Terror cleanly as long as your snow count stays high, so protect your snow mana base and avoid over-fetching early. Your Ephemerate-Augur engine generates more raw card advantage than their Thought Scour and Mental Note draws in a long game, so stabilize early with counterspells and transition into grinding them out with Mulldrifter and Murmuring Mystic tokens. Be cautious of Abandon Attachments, which can exile a key creature post-Ephemerate targeting.
