Obsidian Acolyte dodges their entire black removal suite (Snuff Out, Cut Down, Cast Down), letting it attack and block profitably through their disruption. Thraben Charm provides flexible removal that scales with your board and can also strip their graveyard to blunt Murmuring Mystic's token generation indirectly by removing recursive threats, though its main use is damage-based removal on small creatures like Baleful Strix or Thorn of the Black Rose. Bitter Reunion and Fling are cut since this matchup is about grinding through counterspells and removal with resilient threats rather than looting or a one-shot finisher. Use Pursue the Past and Inside Out to generate card advantage and dodge their removal timing.
