Caw Gates grinds with Gate-fueled card advantage and removal like Journey to Nowhere, so Bramble Wurm and Dawnhart Rejuvenator's lifegain lets you weather their incremental Basilisk Gate pump attacks and Sacred Cat lifelink race over a long game. Blue Elemental Blast targets red spells or red permanents; although they have red spells like Melded Moxite and Faithless Looting, it stays in the sideboard to focus on our main lifegain plan. Watch out for Journey to Nowhere on your key mana Walls; while Tamiyo's Safekeeping can protect them, focus on overloading the board with more threats than they have exile effects. Trim narrow utility singletons for the extra lifegain bodies since this matchup rewards durability over card selection.
