Gruul Ramp is a fair, creature-based ramp deck without discard or countermagic, so this becomes a battle of raw stats and life totals; Bramble Wurm's 7/6 trample body backed by 5 life on entry (with more available by exiling it from the graveyard) is excellent against their Primordial Pachyderm and Avenging Hunter-driven initiative plan, while Dawnhart Rejuvenator adds mana fixing and life gain to help us out-value their card selection package. Winding Way is weaker here since it puts half our deck into the graveyard against opponents who don't punish that but also don't need us digging as hard when we can just cast our biggest threats. Shield-Wall Sentinel and Bloodrite Invoker are too passive against a deck that will eventually overpower our defenders with Jewel Thief and Boarding Party value. Race them on raw power rather than trying to grind card advantage, since Gruul Ramp's threats scale better long-term.
