Temur Indomitable Creativity casts a high density of cheap noncreature spells (Consult the Star Charts, Deduce, Volcanic Spite, Prismari Command) to set up Indomitable Creativity, so Magebane Lizard punishes every one of those spells with direct damage while its 1/4 body survives their small Fable token and burn. Abrade can destroy a problematic permanent they cheat into play or kill a small creature before it connects. Voldaren Epicure's fragile body and one copy of Fiery Temper contribute little since their removal (Volcanic Spite, Fiery Impulse) is efficient and their real threats come from Indomitable Creativity hits rather than combat creatures early. Focus on applying pressure quickly and using Magebane Lizard to punish their spell-heavy turns before they assemble their payoff.
