Selesnya Company goes wide fast with mana dinguses and Collected Company hits, making our small fragile creatures bad blocks and Mockingbird's copy effect less valuable against their token/counter synergies. Languish sweeps most of their board at -4/-4, hitting Elvish Mystic, Llanowar Elves, Badgermole Cub, Skyclave Apparition, Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, and Archon of Emeria, though it can miss an Ouroboroid that has already grown with +1/+1 counters. Duress strips Collected Company or Elspeth, Storm Slayer before they can deploy their game-ending plays. Keep Thoughtseize and efficient removal high since disrupting their curve early is critical against this proactive deck.
