This matchup is a mana-creature and big-threat race, so Duress strips a Tail Swipe or Nature's Rhythm before it swings the game, which is better than reactive removal against a deck full of mana dorks that don't matter much once they're outgrown. Duress can't take creatures, so Thoughtseize stays in to deal with a Craterhoof Behemoth in their hand. Ray of Enfeeblement cheaply kills Elvish Mystic or Llanowar Elves for one mana, though Badgermole Cub, Spider Manifestation, and Vastlands Scavenger survive the -4/-1. That frees up Abrupt Decay for those cheap creatures and Professor Dellian Fel's -3 for bigger threats like Titan of Industry and Craterhoof Behemoth. Go for the Throat is the removal spell to trim, since the deck has plenty of other answers, and cutting two Fatal Push is fine because many of their early creatures are mana dorks that Ray of Enfeeblement now covers. Keep Thoughtseize and Abrupt Decay at full count to strip their hand and answer cheap permanents like Vastlands Scavenger and Spider Manifestation before they stabilize their mana.
