Mono-Red Prowess is a fast aggressive deck leaning on Monastery Swiftspear, Emberheart Challenger, and burn like Burst Lightning and Reckless Rage, so cheap, resilient blockers matter. Scrapshooter comes in as a 4/4 reach creature for three mana that can also strip an artifact like Mutavault's relevant counterpart or any problematic permanent if you choose to promise the gift. Surrak, Elusive Hunter is excellent since it can't be countered, tramples through their small blockers, and punishes their burn spells aimed at your creatures by drawing you cards. Polukranos Reborn is too slow against this clock and one Ulvenwald Oddity comes out, leaving the full manabase untouched.
