Meddling Mage is premium disruption, naming Phyrexian Dreadnought, Stifle, or Vision Charm to shut down their one-turn-kill plan outright. Abeyance stops them from casting any instant or counterspell for a turn, letting your own spells resolve uncontested and buying a window to land Opalescence plus Parallax Wave. Seal of Cleansing is weak since they run almost no artifacts or enchantments worth destroying, and Mana Leak is unreliable against a deck full of cheap cantrips that can easily pay the tax. Intuition trims slightly since extra consistency matters less than proactive disruption here; keep Swords to Plowshares in to answer a resolved Dreadnought.
