Exalted Angel is a massive lifegain roadblock against a deck with almost no flying and no way to remove enchant-independent creatures, swinging the race hugely in our favor. Meddling Mage naming Lightning Bolt, Incinerate, or Fireblast strips key removal/reach while adding a body. Abeyance protects our life total and tempo by shutting off their instant and sorcery burn on a key turn. Mana Leak is weak since Sligh plays cheap spells they can easily pay through, and Skycloud Expanse comes out since it cannot produce mana on its own without another land; Intuition is too slow here.
