Azorius Standstill is a tempo-control deck that wins by resolving Standstill and leveraging Mishra's Factory and Faerie Conclave beats while countering your attempts to break parity. Your discard suite (Cabal Therapy, Duress) is excellent here — strip their Standstills and Counterspells before committing threats, and use Cabal Therapy flashback off creatures to drain their hand. Ravenous Baloth and Blastoderm are ideal threats: Blastoderm dodges Swords to Plowshares and Mana Leak can't stop a creature that's already resolving via careful timing, while Baloth provides a life buffer against their clock and is too large for Powder Keg or Smother. Pernicious Deed is your premier answer to Standstill itself as well as their man-lands and token threats from Decree of Justice — be cautious about over-committing creatures before you've resolved a Deed. Phyrexian Furnace and Nantuko Vigilante have poor matchup utility (no graveyard or artifact/enchantment targets that matter early enough), so they come out to make room for your pressure threats.
